Gloria J. Michaud

LEWISTON – Gloria Jeannette (Parent) Michaud, 73, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016 at Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston. She was born in Lewiston on May 24, 1943, the daughter of the late Raymond and Flora (Leblanc) Parent. Gloria lived in Maine her entire life, and was a Devout Catholic and a parishioner at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Gloria loved spending time hanging out and shopping with her sister, Dot. She was truly devoted to her loving family and her pets; especially her dogs Candy and Roxy. She could always be seen writing letters and stashing receipts. When she could, she enjoyed visiting with her family and friends in Van Buren. Gloria was a social butterfly and could hold a conversation to anyone, whether it is a close friend or someone she has never met before.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Lisa Maheux; her son, Kirk Maheux and his wife Jaimie; her sister, Dot and her husband Jim Ouellette; her 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Jimmy Parent.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10am to 1pm at Fortin/LEWISTON. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at 1pm on Saturday November 19, 2016 at Fortin/ LEWISTON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the ASPCA at ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
