

Auburn- Frederick L. Beal age 78 of Turner died Friday morning at the Hospice House of Androscoggin. Born in Caribou the son of the late George and Geraldine (Robinson) Beal. He was a graduate of both Caribou High School and the University of Maine Orono. Prior to his retirement in 1988 as Department Head of Mathematics at Leavitt High School, where he also Coached Baseball for many years. Mr. Beal was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. In retirement he volunteered at the Hospice House and the Literacy Center as a math teacher. He was Past Master of the Robboni Lodge of Masons and a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. Fishing was one of his great pastimes with his brother and his friends Fred West and Paul Vachon where they shared many exciting times. His survivors include a daughter Bonnie Deschaine and her husband Paul of Lewiston, his long time companion Elaine Chenard of Turner, his grandson Nathan Deschaine of Boston, MA, a brother John Beal and his wife Merleen of Collinsville, VA, three sisters Patricia Lawson and her husband Richard of Sugarland, TX, Barbara Mock of Sunnyside, NY and Katherine Sunday and her husband George of Katy, TX, several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a son John Beal, brother in law Paul Mock and by a nephew Paul Lawson.The family wishes to thank the staffs in ICU, T1 and Dr. Evan Ramser at Central Maine Medical Center for their loving care and kindness given during this difficult time.
