

Lewiston, ME - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Constance “Connie” Ida (Chasse) Roy. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on March 13, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on August 10, 1934 in Lewiston, Maine. Connie was predeceased by her parents David Chasse and Cecile Gurney, stepfather Chet Gurney, and her first husband, Lionel Blais.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Roy; her sister, Phyllis Cothran; and her children: Susan Forgues, Dianne Bell, Réne Blais, Michelle Main, and Maurice Roy. She was also a proud grandmother to Naomi Todd, Nathan Forgues, Derek Forgues, Ashley Deeb, and Jordan Gonzales. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit.
Connie’s early years were spent in Lewiston and New Auburn, where she attended St. Louis Parochial School and Edward Little High School. She later became a nurse's aide, dedicating her compassionate heart and skilled hands to the care of others. She worked at Montello Manor, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Bolster Heights Nursing Home, where her kindness touched the lives of many.
Throughout her life, Connie was known for her bravery, patience, and boundless generosity. She took pride in keeping up with the lives of her extended family. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as gardening, photography, and creating beautiful slideshows for her family. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, whether through teaching them to swim, playing cards, or exchanging letters as pen pals.
Connie will always be remembered for her warm heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her generous spirit. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Connie’s honor. A private service will be held for immediate family, with a public celebration of her life to be announced at a later date.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
