She was born in New Brunswick, Canada on January 14, 1948 the daughter of the late Gerard and Germaine (L’Italien) Soucy and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was proud of her accomplishment of becoming a US Citizen a little over ten years ago.
She was employed at Clark Shoe shop where she met her love of her life, Roland R. Tremblay. they married on September 23, 1967. She then worked at Montello Manor and most recently in the fabric department at Marden’s where she made many new friends with her contagious laugh. Along with her contagious laugh she was well known for her fashionable berets.
Claudette enjoyed dining out with her friends from Marden’s, needlepoint, watching movies and going to the movie theater, music and loved to dance.
She was a parishioner of the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul.
She is survived by her niece Lisa L’Italien and her husband Barry Estabrook of Litchfield; a nephew Richard L’Italien and his wife Jackie of Litchfield; two sisters-in-law Susan Rosenbaum and her husband Bob of Ormond Beach, Florida and Marie Mae L’Italien of Lewiston; three close cousins Laurette Poulin of Lewiston, Pauline Lagasse and her husband Reggie of Lewiston and Linda Gelinas of Lisbon; and many other cousins; two God Children Natasha Heald of Buckfield and Brandon Chaloux and his wife Sarah.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Roland R. Tremblay who died on July 18, 2022; her brother Rodrique L’Italien; and her sister-in-law Laurieanne Hynes.
A Funeral Mass honoring Claudette’s life will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul (Lower Chapel). A gathering will be held at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
