AUBURN: Ann K. Girardin, 64, of Lewiston passed away on January 16, 2017 at the Hospice House in Auburn surrounded with great love by her friends and family. She was born in Lewiston on April 17, 1952 the daughter of the late Romeo (Tom) and Ida (Marquis) Girardin. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1971 and attended Westbrook College, graduating in 1973 with an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. For 26 years, Ann was employed at Zayre\Ames Department store and then worked at Tri-County Mental Health Services for 17 years until she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
While in college, she participated in the Big Sisters Program and in recent years ran a Lamey’s Shoe Club. Ann belonged to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and the American Legion Post 153. She enjoyed family get-togethers, playing cards, dancing, traveling, cats and going to the movies. Ann will be remembered for numerous things including her warm, bright smile, her generosity of spirit and her love of family and close friends.
She is survived by her aunts, an uncle, several cousins and close friends who made her feel loved, cared for and comfortable in the last few months of her life.

Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Thursday January 19, 2017 from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 20, 2017 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn followed by committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers, may make a charitable contribution in Ann’s memory to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society 55 Strawberry Ave. Lewiston, ME 04240.
