AUBURN – Alice D. Morin 91, a resident of Lewiston died Friday morning at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side following a long illness. She was born in Stanhope, P.Q., June 11, 1917, the daughter of Moise and Elmire (Boivin) Beaudin. Alice moved here from Canada in 1952 where she became employed in the local textile industry until her retirement in 1979, and was a member of Holy Family Church. Following her retirement she enjoyed travel, and her hobbies also included making quilts, crocheting, knitting, and playing cards. She was most proud of her family, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Rosaire Morin and wife, Priscilla of Lewiston; two daughters, Louise LeTourneau and husband, Emery of Nampa, Idaho; Denise Flonc of Monroe, CT; one brother, Lucien Beaudin of Buffalo, NY; one sister, Annette Adam of Coaticook, P.Q., and also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ernest Morin in 1990, her second husband Joseph Poulin who died in 2008 as well as two brothers, Priva and Algea and two sisters, Anna and Aline. Alice’s family would like to also send special thanks to her caregivers at Sarah Frye Home, Marshwood Center, Androscoggin Home Health, and the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. MORIN died in Lewiston, April 10, 2009, Mrs. Alice D. Morin age 91 years a resident of Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Alice’s life will be celebrated TUESDAY 11:00AM at Holy Family Church. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
