William G. Taylor

William G. Taylor William G. (Brother Raymond) Taylor, age 87 died peacefully on Wednesday, June 01, 2011 at his home in Levittown surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late William J. Taylor and Mae (Murray) Taylor of NY. He joins his beloved and deceased wife, Mary (Keefe) Taylor of Malone, NY. William is survived by his loving children, three sons and two daughters. Timothy and Jayne Taylor of Minneapolis, MN; Kathleen and William Brennan of Janesville, WI; William V. and Diane Taylor of Fairless Hills; Anne Taylor of Levittown and James and Patricia Taylor of Newtown. He will be sadly missed by his devoted grandchildren: Bryan and Shannon in MN; Christina, Patrick, Angela, Theresa, Kayla in WI; Mary in FL, William J. (deceased), Daniel, Kelsey, Kasey, and Jamie in PA. He was blessed by seven (and one on the way) great-grandchildren: Caitlin, Brendan, Michael, Mya, Maxwell, Brady and Izabelle. He is survived by his brother Frank Taylor of Newport, Vermont; his brother-in-laws William C. (Bud) Keefe, Gordon Dragoon; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of WWII in the European campaign from 1942 to 1946 as part of the 102nd Infantry Division of "The Ozark's." Wounded and received the Purple Heart in 1944. He received a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson College, Pottsdam, NY, 1951. He worked for over 36 years for Philadelphia Electric Company in the Marketing Division. Most notably he was the company representative for the U.S. Steel - Fairless Plant account in the seventies and eighties. He was proud to be an 'original' Levittowner. He will be greatly missed by his original Levittown neighbors, Dolly and Joe Groetsch. He loved and supported all Philadelphia area professional sports. He was an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and was professed as a Secular Franciscan (SFO) in 1985. He was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and served in that capacity as a volunteer at St. Mary Medical Center. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, 3:00 until 5:00 pm and on Monday, 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, Levittown. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Mass cards are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the William J.
