William Henry GradyOn Saturday, March 10, 2018, William "Bill" Henry Grady went out on top as a fan of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Bill was surrounded by his family and friends in his final moments, which was true to how he lived his life. The youngest of a set of mischievous identical twins, Bill Grady was born on July 20, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to Catherine (Kay) Jablonski and Thurlow "Buddy" Grady. He grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with five siblings. Upon his graduation from Eli Whitney Educational High School, Bill enlisted in the Navy and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He served on the USS Castor, but his love of ships and boats continued beyond his service and included cruise ships and the Steamer Natchez. In 1964, Bill married Joyce Ann Brunberg and settled down with their young family in Fairless Hills, where Bill worked at Fairless Steel. He had four children and served as a foster father to many others. Bill retired from Fairless Steel, after 30 years, and entered an encore career in carpentry. He spent much of his retirement giving back to those he loved - caring for his elderly in-laws, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bill was an avid coin collector and also enjoyed wood working and puzzles. Most importantly, he spent his retirement sharing time and experiences with the love of his life, his wife of 52 years.Bill's spirit was immortalized in the Eagles mural at Lincoln Financial Field, a project in which he was depicted and served as an artist assistant. His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of his loved ones. Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce, their four children, their 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
