William F. Eggert

William F. Eggert William F. Eggert, of Levittown, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center at the age of 80. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret (Headley) Eggert, and brother Harry Eggert. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Alice del Garcia Eggert, one daughter Donna Milner and her husband William, two sons, Carl and his wife Susan, and Allen and his wife Jean, his sister Marjorie Kilian and brother Ralph Eggert, and his grandchildren Amanda Milner, Susan Eggert, Brad Eggert, Andrew Eggert, Heather Eggert and Brianna Eggert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. An original Levittowner, Bill and Alice made a warm and loving home for their parents, grandparents, children and pets. Bill loved pets, especially great danes. Traveling and model trains were a passion of his. Together with his loving wife, they visited all 50 states of our country and have cruised the Caribbean several times. Bill also enjoyed driving his convertible and many trips to Florida. He worked for many years as a dairy manager and store manager for Food Fair. Most recently, Bill ran a cleaning business and worked with his son Allen manufacturing sulkies for harness racing. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bill's memory to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931, as he so loved his pets.
