Son of the late Thomas Small Sr. and Jean Small (Morrell), Tommy was born at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA. He graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1972 and went on to receive his Associate Degree in Accounting from Rider College in 1980. Tom has owned and operated a tax and accounting services business since 1980 and also consulted at multiple law firms in the Philadelphia tri-state area.
Tommy had a range of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed taking cruise ships to tropical locations and was always planning his next trip to watch the sunset over the ocean from his balcony. He was an avid Disney fan- from the movies to home decor to trips to Disney World. He was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and visited Ireland many times over the years, enjoying a Guinness or two along the way. Tommy loved golf and watching Notre Dame football, and was a Philadelphia Flyers season ticket holder for many years. He was fascinated by NASA and space and drove to Cape Canaveral to witness multiple space shuttle launches. Tommy loved hosting friends and family for home-cooked meals where there was always enough to go around (and then some). Above all, he loved being “pop-pop” to his four grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
Tommy is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Kris) and Julie (Jeff), brother Brian (Bonnie), sister Barbara (Dale), four grandchildren- Ava, Jordan, Benjamin, and Riley, and his beloved Golden Retriever, Shannon.
Family and Friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056 with services to follow. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Morrisville, PA.
