Tom, known as Mike to his family, was born December 3, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany and was a 1975 graduate of Neshaminy High School. After graduation he worked at Viskase, formally Union Carbide, as a press operator for 25 years. When Viskase closed, he went to work for Ashland in Fairless Hills as a material handler until his retirement in 2017.
Mike was an avid music lover and sports fan. He loved the Green Bay Packers and New York Rangers and was happy to let you know it. Mike enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fantasy football, reading about U.S. history; especially the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, watching and learning about birds, watching reruns of MASH and in his youth, attending rock concerts. He could always be found at the poker table during family picnics and get togethers.
He will lovingly be remembered for his humor and laughter, his strength in overcoming adversity, and the love he had for his family, including his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Adele Lawlor, and his daughter Jacqueline Marie Lawlor. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alicia and daughter Paula A. Culp (Gregory), grandchildren, Maya A. Guzman, Cameron R. Guzman, Leah N. Guzman, and Braeden G. Culp, his twin sister Catherine M. McGarry (Nino DeJesus), sister Nancy E. Shaw (William), brother Gregory R. Lawlor (Patricia), nephew John Ryan McGarry (Megan), and nieces, Sara M. Lawlor and Emma S. Lawlor.
