

Thomas J. Donohue of Levittown passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018. He was 92.Born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Lillian M. Donohue. He has been a resident of Levittown since 1972.Mr. Donohue served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 until 1946 as a Boatswains Mate 2/C serving in the Atlantic and Pacific areas.Mr. Donohue was employed with Philco in Philadelphia for 10 years. While there he was a Shop Steward for nine years and Business Agent for three years for Local 102, IUE-AFL-CIO. He also worked as an International Agent for the IUE-AFL-CIO, out of Washington DC, from August 1957 through December 1985.Mr. Donohue was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Thelma I. Cochran Donohue.He is the loving father of Patricia Donohue (the late James A. Barrett, Jr.) of Levittown, Linda Crumpton (the late Randall) of Levittown, Joseph T. Donohue (Karen) of Piqua, OH, Deborah Donohue of Penndel, Denise Allen (David Fladung) of Jarratt, VA, Thomas J. Donohue of Mesa, AZ, Tracy Shunkwiler (Arthur) of Levittown and Timothy Donohue (Michele) of Wilkes-Barre. He will also be missed by 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Thomas is the brother of John Greene, Anna Glaser, Mae Wick, Joseph A. Donohue (Margaret), Anna Marie Donohue and James Donohue. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16, 10 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown followed by Rite of Committal at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. There are no calling hours prior to the Mass on Tuesday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 33105.
