Theresa M. Poore

Theresa M. Poore of Levittown died peacefully at home on Friday, December 30, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 59.Born in Bristol, Theresa was a life long Levittown resident and a 1976 graduate of Delhaas High School.She was employed with F.W. Webb, formerly Lincoln Supply Co., in Trenton, NJ for several years and prior to that worked for the former Kinney and Imperial Wall Covering in Bristol Township.Theresa loved reading, gardening and vacations with her family. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.Theresa is survived by her beloved husband of Nearly 40 years, Barry G. Poore and her loving daughters, Janel Cohen (Ross) of North Wales, PA and Laurel Kennedy (Robert) of Lansdale, PA. She is the devoted Mom Mom of Holly, Maura, Eli and Owen. Theresa is the daughter of Teresa and the late John Allen of Levittown and the sister of Judith (Jerry) Long of Lewisburg, WV; John (Eva) Allen of North Augusta, SC; Michael (Christine) Allen of Beverly, MA; Patrick (Tammy) Allen of Murfreesboro, TN; Timothy (Linda) Allen of Morrisville; Catherine (David) Arbuckle of Greenlane, PA; Rita (Robert) Fisher of Churchville and Mary (Troy) Swinnock, of Miranda, CA.She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Lori DiGiacinto (Joel) of Jamison; brothers-in-law Robert Poore of Morrisville and Scott Poore (Elizabeth) of Levittown and many nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call from 10 until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.Theresa's family would like to thank the staff of Penn/Wissahickon Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
