Theresa E. McCarthyTheresa E. "Terry" McCarthy passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 86.Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Sarah (Dowden) and James Hartley, and formerly of Bensalem for 30 years, Mrs. McCarthy has been a resident of Langhorne for the past 18 years.Until retiring in 1994, Mrs. McCarthy was employed with the Bensalem School District as a Teacher's Aide for 20 years.She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Seniors. Mrs. McCarthy was an avid reader and Phillies Fan.She loved to swim at the pool at Heathergate and enjoyed gardening.Mrs. McCarthy was the beloved wife of the late Charles T. and loving mother of Dennis M., Charles P., Neil T. and Matthew T. McCarthy,She is survived by her devoted children, Keith (Donna), Gail Kandarczyk (Ken), and Craig (Sue); her grandchildren, Christina, Tara, Kaycee, Krista, Kellie, Ann-Marie, Samantha, Logan and Erin; her great grandchildren, Tommie Lynn, Charles Scott; her sister, Sheryl Tucker; and many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
