Thelma (Woodham) Garrett died on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Manor Care in Yardley at the age of 84.
Born in Midland City, AL, and formerly of Columbus, GA, where she met her husband while he was on active duty, Mrs. Garrett has resided in Levittown since 1968.
She was the faithful and dedicated manager, from the time the store opened until it's closure, of the former Card-O-Rama in Oxford Valley Mall for 37 years.
Most important to her was the love of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Garrett enjoyed making bus trips to the casinos and playing the slot machines.
Beloved wife of 62 years to Bobby D., Mrs. Garrett is the loving mother of Cheryl L. Maximuck (Matthew) and Robert D. Garrett (MaryLouise).
She is the devoted grandmother of 4 and proud great grandmother of 2.
Thelma will also be sadly missed by her siblings, Rex Woodham; twin sister, Eleanor Black; Nel Brown and Joni Merker.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, from 10:00 until 11:30 am, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
