Born in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, Teresa was a graduate of Hallahan High School. She was an original Levittown homeowner and member of Queen of the Universe Parish, prior to moving to the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area in 1987.
Teresa was an executive administator for Singer and Gimpel Machine as well as dabbled in real estate.
She enjoyed her many homes in S.C. prior to trying out many more homes in Florida.
Teresa was a most gracious host, who loved having guests and planning menus for their visits.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmom and GG to her family.
Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Nathan, Teresa is survived by her sons, Joseph (Elizabeth), Michael (Gina) and John; her daughters Mary-Teresa O'Brien (Thomas) and Christine Papineau (Peter); 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
She is the dear sister of Sister Mary Jo McDonald, IHM and the late Hugh McDonald and Helen Kuzmack.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Allegria at the Oaks, Saint Mary Hospital and Chandler Hall for the care given to their mother.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 9:00 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Teresa's name may be made to The Comprehensive Learning Center for Autistic Children, 444 Jacksonville Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
