Teresa L. MyszkaTeresa L. Myszka passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown at the age of 68.She was born in Derby, England, and has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County. Teresa was an accomplished critical care nurse with specialties in the OR, ER, and ICU before joining the American Red Cross.Teresa spent 20 years at the Red Cross, holding various positions. Her final position was Director of Apheresis for the American Red Cross. Teresa was one of the first responders to travel to New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina relief and was the recipient of the Dual Tier Tiffany Award for her involvement with the Katrina Response Team.Teresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always put everyone else and their needs before herself, expecting nothing in return, which she continued to do up until her final days.In her own words, her intent was to go above and beyond - volunteering, feeding the homeless, helping the poor and disaster victims, home visits to the indignant, all the while treating everyone with dignity and respect.She had such love for life. She made the ordinary extraordinary. She truly lived her life in the moment. She was born to make people feel good, to make you laugh. She had such a special way of making everyone feel important.Like the bumblebee, that scientifically should not be able to fly, you proved to all your doubters wrong. Not only did you fly, but you SOARED!!!Beloved wife of Les Myszka, Teresa is the loving mother of Robert (Megan Chambers); devoted grandmother of Robby, Dominic, Brandon, Angelina and Danielle Santos-DeMaria and Emma Chambers; and dear sister of Gladys W. Wroblewski.Teresa was predeceased by her parents, Franciszka ( nee An) and Wladyslaw Wroblewski.Services and interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Teresa's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
