Born and raised in Wilkes Barre, PA, and a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County, Mr. Witt was a 1963 graduate of the former Bishop Egan High School in Fairless Hills.
Mr. Witt served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era achieving the rank as Staff Sergeant. He was a Mechanical Technician and Programmer for the Minute Man Missile.
After his discharge from the service, he began a 40 year working career with Xerox in Fort Washington, PA, retiring in 2008.
Mr. Witt enjoyed fishing and camping at Prince Gallitzin State Park. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening and his daily trips to Dunkin Donuts in Fairless Hills.
Most important to Stanley always was the love for his family.
Beloved husband of the late Jane L. (Lucas), who passed in April 2019, Mr. Witt is survived by his daughters Nadine Applegate and Robyn Tait (Brian G.); granddaughter Dakota Applegate; brothers, John Witt Jr. (Carolyn) and Martin Witt (Dottie); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Sinkiewicz) and John Witt Sr.
Family and friends are invited to his committal service, Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at precisely, 10:00 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Witt's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
