Stanley David Jacobs, age 97, of Yardley, Pennsylvania passed away on December 10, 2024. Born in 1926, to Leon and Lenore Jacobs, Stanley—affectionately known as Stan—embodied the virtues of courage and commitment throughout his life.
Stan's valiant military service during World War II as a Sergeant Major in the US Army Paratroopers distinguished him as a hero. His participation in the Battle of the Bulge and the honors he received, including the Silver Star and Purple Heart, mark a legacy of bravery and dedication to his country.
Following his honorable discharge, Stan furthered his education at Pennsylvania State University where he attained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Stanley was a devoted Penn Stater and never missed the chance to see a game.
His post-war life saw the beginning of a wonderful partnership when he met the love of his life, Aileen, at the family piano business, Jacob’s Piano. Together, they embarked on over four decades of devoted marriage.
Professionally, Stan ventured into his Entrepreneurial career in financial planning, where his astute business acumen and spirit thrived. In his leisure, Stan was an ardent golfer, a physical fitness enthusiast, a staunch Penn State fan, and an avid dog lover. His presence at the gym was not just for exercise but also for the camaraderie he found there.
Stan was a gifted conversationalist, known for his genuine interest in people and his ability to engage with friends and strangers alike. He truly loved people and was most content sitting with his dear friends for a chat. His service on the board of his HOA for ten years exemplifies his commitment to his community.
Stanley was predeceased in life by his dear, Aileen. He is remembered by the many lives he touched. Contributions to honor his memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Stanley's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will be cherished and his life celebrated as an embodiment of the American spirit.
Friends are welcome to attend Stanley's burial with full military honors on Wednesday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. Please be in the procession line at the main office no later than 12:45 pm.
