Born in Nanticoke, PA, Sarah moved to Morrisville with her husband, Vincent E. Purcell, and they were married for 65 years. She was a homemaker, until her husband passed away in 2014.
Mrs. Purcell was the loving mother of Barbara A. (Purcell) Tracey (Jack) and Vincent R. Purcell. She was the devoted grandmother of Rebecca L. Purcell (Lamont), Krista A. Collins (Steven), Monica L. Tracey and Maricsa L. Weeden (Kevin) and the great grandmother of Mackenzie and Teagan Kauffman, and Mia Weeden.
Mrs. Purcell is survived by her brother-in-law, George Purcell; sister-in-law, Shirley Stewart; a very special nephew, Bruno Andrews Jr., who kept in touch with her everyday; a special niece, Bonnie Coyle, who always wrote her letters; and a special neighbor, James A. Reider, who always helped her out.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She adored all of them.
Mrs. Purcell was preceded in death by her parents, Isabelle (Wright) Stewart and Richard Stewart; along with her brother, Elmer Stewart; and her two sisters, Mary Andrews (late Bruno) and Catherine Rodski (late Bolish).
Services and interment will be held privately.
Sarah loved animals, especially her dog, Daisy; therefore in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the animal shelter of your choice in her memory.
