Born to Roscoe and Faye Hall, in Princeton, West Virginia on September 5, 1917, she was one of eight children, all of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Perry Cahill Whittaker for 67 years, until his death in 2007. They traveled extensively throughout the United States, and took many cruises over the years.
Ruth lived a long, active, independent life. Joining the YMCA, she took several exercise classes and even learned to like the pool. Love of her family along with flower gardening and entertaining were the loves of her life. She was a long time member of Oxford Valley Chapel.
She is survived by their three children; daughters, Ann Clyburn of Florida; Sonya McClimans of Fairless Hills; and son Perry Randall Whittaker and wife, Donna, also of Fairless Hills. In addition, granddaughter, Kara Engelman and husband, Gary and son, Dylan of Fairless Hills; grandson Brian Whittaker and wife Angela and son Drew, of Tennessee; granddaughter, Heather Conover of Rhode Island; and two great grandsons, Aidan and Samuel Conover also of Rhode Island.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10 AM until 11 AM followed by a funeral service at Oxford Valley Chapel, 198 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA. Entombment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
