Ruth L. Munro

Ruth L. Munro of Levittown died on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Chandler Hall. She was 77. Born in Barum, Norway, Mrs. Munro has been a resident of Levittown for 56 years. She was a member of the Levittown Church of God. In her earlier years she worked as an aerobics instructor at the LPRA. She was a born again Christian, a kind and compassionate woman who had unconditional love for all. Mrs. Munro was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Munro. She was the loving mother of Alex (Susan) of Levittown, Joy Basic (Chris) of Powhatan, VA and Michelle Robertson of Levittown. She was the sister of Greta, Elisabeth, Rolf and the late Rein Aspelund. She was the devoted grandmother of Alex, Adam, Chris, Andrew, Matthew, Alexandria, Ryan, Erik, Justin, Courtney and Chloe and great grandmother of 7. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Newtown Cemetery.
