Russell E. Hunter, 64, passed away on September 11th, 2023 at home with his family by his side in Levittown, Pa. Russ is survived by his partner of 23 years, Donna Foster, his father Frank C. Hunter Jr., his brothers Frank C. Hunter III and David A. Hunter, his daughters Ashley Curci (Hunter) and Sheila Pogany (Foster), and his beloved dog Max, his best friend. Russ was preceeded in death by his mother, Gloria J. Hunter (Pursell).
Russ was an avid lover of his Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed creating wood crafted objects that he would give to family and friends. Russ worked in the maintenance department at Woods School in Langhorne, PA as an independent contractor in remodeling, carpentry and finish work; and earlier for many years with K-Mart in their maintenance department.
Russ’ family encourages anyone who wishes to attend his services to wear their Phillies or Eagles gear in remembrance of him.
Russ is loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 9:30 am until 11:30 am, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Cremation will be private.
