She was born in Croydon, PA on May 20th, 1928 to the late Marie ( Long ) and late Francis Hafele. She was preceded in death by her only sibling, Joanne Haak, of Fairless Hills, Pa. She was raised in Croydon and attended Holy Family High School in Torresdale, PA, and entered the workforce as a bookkeeper. She met Walter Wojsowski, of Edington, PA at work and they married in 1949. They later settled in Levittown to raise a family, and remained there for most of their lives. After the death of her husband in 2014 she became a resident of Sunrise Senior Living in Yardley, and most recently at Greenwood House in Ewing, NJ.
Rose is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline ( Brennan ) of Yardley, and Kimberly ( Brennan ) of Levittown. She was the proud grandmother, "Mom-Mom", of 6 grandchildren: Ashley, Amanda, Alyssa, Jennifer, Kristine, and Jacquelyn. She was a great grandmother of 10.
Rose was a kind and happy person, with high energy ( some might say hyper-active ). She was a great Mother and wife, and she was a strong co-provider for her family. She was skilled with the piano and organ, and was fortunate to work most of her life leveraging her love of these musical instruments. She spent over 20 years working for Wurlitzer Music initially as a piano teacher, then as a sales-person, and finally as the manager of the Neshaminy Mall store.
At home, she provided the love and structure needed to raise her two daughters while working. Sunday dinners were always held at her house. Whether by the pool out back in the summer or during the special holiday season, she thrived on her family gathering at her place. She was a very good cook in her prime. Her peach dumplings had no rival.
She loved the beach. Her special place was Cape May, where she had waitressed in the summers through high school. Every summer her own family would spend a week in Cape May on Perry Street, and dine at the Marion Inn. In later years, she would vacation at a family house on Long Beach Island.
The family is already grateful for the outpouring of support. Rose's family will welcome relatives and friends for a graveside service at approximately 11:00 am on Saturday December 12th at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. She will be laid to rest with her husband. The family is recommending that attendees gather at the Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA, to join the procession to the cemetery. Departure is expected to be around 10:25 am.
