Rose Marie McGinty Rose Marie McGinty died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Chandler Hall in Newtown. She was 85. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA and raised in Pottsville, Mrs. McGinty was a graduate of Pottsville High School. She and her husband moved to Levittown 59 years ago and became original homeowners and members of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington. She was employed with Pathmark in Fairless Hills for nearly 25 years retiring in 1987. Mrs. McGinty enjoyed her summer home in Cape May for 30 years, and loved being in the sun and on the beach. Mrs. McGinty also loved being around people, socializing and organizing get togethers. She always enjoyed dressing nicely and loved cooking. Her family and friends were always most important to her. Beloved wife of the late William P. Sr. and mother of the late Daniel J., Mrs. McGinty is survived by her loving children, William P. Jr. (Carol), Margaret Solon (Jeff Worley), Mary Beth McGinty and Patrick K. (Niki). She will also be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, Lisa, Brian, Becky, Joey, Tim and Marcy; her six great grandchildren; her brother, Daniel Waddell and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many special care givers who took care of Rose Marie in the past few years. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall Hospice Services, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
