Bob was born on October 1st, 1967, and raised in the Philadelphia/Levittown area. Graduating with pride from Neshaminy High School in 1986, Bob left a legacy as a standout football player and class clown who, fittingly, occupied the front row during graduation. Post-high school, Bob explored various professions until discovering his calling in the Electricians' Union Local 269. Eventually, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his own general contracting business to prioritize precious moments with his cherished wife and children.
Bob's greatest source of joy was his family. The highlight of his day was family dinners, where he looked forward to hearing about everyone's day. Devoted to his children, he never missed a practice, game, match, fight, or Irish dance performance. Bob had a passion for cars and motorcycles, a love for all genres of music, and after a few drinks he lit up any gathering as the life of the party.
Bob is predeceased by his father William McCoy, mother Marie (Disher), and sister Marita (McTamney), and nephew Christian.
He is survived by his devoted wife Susan (Petersen); cherished son Gunner McCoy; beloved daughter Skylar Elizabeth; In-Laws Wayne and Mary Petersen; nieces Jaclyne, Brooke, Isabella, Julianna, Capri, Gracie, and Paisley; nephews Marco, Lyle, Sutton, Kevin, and Cole; sister-in-laws Colleen (Mike), Mary Beth (Kevin); brother-in-laws Wayne and Douglas; and great-nephew Kingston. He also leaves behind his adoring Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and loyal Ride or Die Friends.
Though Bob's time with us was cut short, he lived a life full of family, jokes, and fun. He will be so dearly missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to Bob’s visitation at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home on Friday December 22, 2023 from 2pm until 5pm, followed by Words of Remembrance.
