Robert P. Britland

Robert P. Britland passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, July 16, 2018, at the age of 83.Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Britland has been a Levittown resident for the past 56 years. He was a member of the New Life Christian Church in Newtown where he was very active with "Samaritans Purse", and the "Yes Group". He and Millie enjoyed traveling with their fellow church members over the years. Until his retirement in 1997, Mr. Britland was employed with USX Fairless Works for 39 years. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.Bob had a very kind soul and loved and talked to everyone.He was predeceased by his son, Barry; his parents, Grace (Nagel) and William Britland; and his sister, Ruth Hille (Bill).Bob is the loving husband of Millie (Ewing), whom he married in 1960, and the loving father of Bruce Britland (Cindy), Kathi White, Brien (Lisa), and Jennifer Berglund (Randy).He is the devoted grandfather of 8; proud great grandfather of 4; and dear brother of Bill (late Gilda) and Ron Britland (Terry), Dot King (late Robert), Marion Tesaro, and Margie Reiman (Wayne).Mr. Britland will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 24. 2018, from 10:00 until 11:30 am at the New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Drive, Newtown, PA 18940, where his funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Christian Church at the above address.
