Richard E. Horner died on Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Lucy Hospice House. He was 77. Rich was the son of the late Herb and Ilse and was a lifetime resident of Levittown before moving to Port St. Lucie, Fl. He owned and operated Horner's Korner on Woodbourne and Trenton Rd. for 40 years. Rich loved to hunt, fish, and race boats; he won the World's Fastest Garvey Championship in his boat G-78. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannine Rybczuk, son, Christopher Lee, and sister, Lorraine Engel. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Diana (Murt), daughter, Nadine Plomchok (Tom), son, Dr. Richard J. Horner, and son in law William Rybczuk, as well as his two grandchildren, Yvonne Rybczuk and Ridge Horner. He is also survived by his sister in law, Virginia LeHuquet (Howard), sister, Marge Soderlund, brother Le Roy, and brother Herb. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
