Peter was born on September 16, 1932 in Bristol, Pennsylvania, to parents, Joseph Rubino and Mary Rubino. At 18, Peter joined the army and went off to fight for our country in the Korean War. Upon his return, Peter married Barbara (Antolchick) Rubino and went on to establish a career as a Barber, and opened his Barber shop in Penndel, Pa. Later, Peter opened a local favorite franchise called Chicken Delight in Levittown, Pa. Peter finished off his career as a Salesman in the auto industry with the last 15 years with Dick Greenfield Dodge in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Peter’s favorite hobby was Fly Fishing. He was an avid fisherman and would teach anyone who had interest in fishing. He taught his sons and daughters, as well as many of their friends along with his grandchildren. He also took pleasure in the art of tying his own flies and collecting many Fly Rods. Peter loved to spend time with family and friends, to share in a meal or watch his favorite sports team play, (Eagles & Phillies).
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Rubino, His siblings, Sebastian Paglione, Anne DiOrio, Lucielle Schriber and Eva Manera.
Peter is survived by his spouse Barbara Rubino, his brothers Frank Rubino and Joseph Rubino, his children, Peter J. Rubino and spouse Amy Rubino, Kris Rubino and spouse Elisa Rubino, Sandra Giles and spouse James Giles and Cheryl McVey and spouse Kevin McVey.
Peter had 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Peter will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. An inurnment will occur immediately following services at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
