Patrick Ryan Gannon

Patrick Ryan Gannon passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He was 13.Born in Langhorne, Patrick was a life long resident of Langhorne and parishioner of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. He attended Maple Point Middle School.He loved playing guitar and taking music lessons and he also liked to draw. Patrick truly loved to be outside with friends riding his bike or scooter and playing football.An avid Flyers fan, Patrick's greatest passion was playing ice hockey and he was a member of the Grundy Senators Ice Hockey Club and the Neshaminy Middle School Ice Hockey Club.Patrick was the beloved son of Michael and Ingeburg "Inge" Gannon and the loving brother of Christine E. Gannon Dyson, Michael Gannon and Daniel C. Gannon.He was grandson of Martha and the late Leo Gannon and Helga and the late Helmut Hanus and was the devoted "Uncle P" of Kayleigh and David Dyson.He will also be missed by numerous family members of the Gannon and Hanus families.Patrick was a kind and giving young man and he continues to give to others, saving at least 4 other lives through his Gift of Life organ donations.Family and friends are invited to call from 3 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton , Levittown. Friends may also call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940 where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Newtown.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Patrick's memory be made to the Children's Hospital of Phila, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Phila., Pa 19104 or the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd St., Phila., PA 19103.
