Patricia McSherry

Patricia McSherry Patricia McSherry of Bensalem, died on Friday, July 15, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 82. Born and raised in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia, Patricia was the daughter of the late Edna (nee Taylor) and Joseph Connelly. She was a longtime resident of Levittown and resided in Bensalem for the past 2 years. A graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, Mrs. McSherry was a member of the Alumni Association and an avid Philadelphia sports fan and bowler. She especially enjoyed vacationing in North Wildwood, New Jersey. She was employed at Acme Markets for over 30 years, retiring as head cashier from the Morrisville store. Patricia was the loving mother of Eileen M. Durbin and the grandmother of Ian Patrick McSherry, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. McSherry, Sr. She will also be sadly missed by her children: Francis J. Jr. (Ruth) of Langhorne, Michael P. (Kate) of Quakertown, Kevin J. (Maureen) of Trevose, Sean T. (Paula) of Levittown, Timothy P. (Nancy) of Doylestown, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Joseph Connelly of Florida and John Connelly of Delaware, her sister Jacqueline Garlick of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
