Nicholas "Nick" Massaro passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 15, 2017.Nick was born in West Philadelphia and moved to Levittown as a teenager. He graduated from Pennsbury High School and following graduation, enlisted in the Army National Guard. He worked for Thiokol and later PECO from where he retired after 30 years of service.Nick loved to golf and to play tennis. He was a passionate Eagles fan and watched the games every Sunday with his "boys" Nick, Mark, Ross, Nicholas and Bobby and his granddaughter, Taylor Lynne.Most of all, Nick was passionate about his family. A devoted father and grandfather, he never missed an opportunity to tell his children and grandchildren how very much he loved them and how very proud he was of them. He loved to see them gathered around the dining room table for Sunday dinner. Time with his family was his greatest joy.Nick is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara, his children, Denise (Mark) and Nick (Victoria), and his grandchildren, Taylor, Ross, Nicholas, Alexis and Madison. He is also survived by his brothers, Patrick (Arlene) and Robert (Mary), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nick also had a wide circle of friends who he considered family.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 9 p.m. on Monday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel followed by Rite of Committal at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
