Mildred A. (Drew) Casey of Langhorne and formerly of Toms River, NJ passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Chandler Hall following a brief illness. She was 80.Born in Queens, NY on June 18, 1935, she graduated from Dominican Commercial High School in Richmond Hill, NY. She has resided in Langhorne for the past 3 years and was a member of Queen of the Universe parish.Mrs. Casey worked for Union Carbide Corporation for several years. Mildred was very happy and cheerful. She had a blithe spirit.She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Yardley Bridge Club. She also enjoyed going to the beach and to New York to see the Broadway shows. Above all, Mrs. Casey loved the times she spent with family and friends.Mrs. Casey was the beloved wife of Raymond E. Casey for 59 years.She was the loving mother of Eileen Cavanaugh (Denis) of Hamilton, NJ and Grace Carroll (Robert) of Yardley and was the devoted grandmother of Kelly and Erin Cavanaugh and James and Michael Carroll.She is also survived by her brothers John Drew of West Islip, NY; James Drew (Barbara) of Farmingville, NY; Frank Drew of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen (Merkel) Drew and her grandson, Ryan.Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
