Born in Philadelphia, Michael was a life long resident of the Northeast section of the city and graduate of North Catholic High School. He was a long time member of St. Bernard's parish.
He was a proud Navy veteran and worked for Septa for over 20 years.
In earlier years, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara J., Michael was the loving father of Brian M. and his wife, Diana, and devoted grandfather of Brian M. Jr., Zachary and Shawn.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 until 10 a.m. on Monday, October 28th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
