Maureen A. Worthington Maureen A. Worthington of Levittown died on Friday, January 4, 2013 at her home. She was 64. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Worthington has been a long time resident of the Lower Bucks area and was an active parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel parish where she served as a lector, volunteered at bingo and the annual fair and helped with the cafeteria program. She was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Egan High School and graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College in 1982. She went on to receive her Masters degree in Theology from LaSalle in 2001. Mrs. Worthington was an elementary school teacher working at various schools throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for over 30 years. In her spare time, Maureen enjoyed gardening and making various crafts. She will be remembered as a giving person who was always there to help others in need. Mrs. Worthington was the loving mother John Joseph Worthington Jr. and his wife Linda and Joseph William Worthington and his wife Kelly. She was the devoted Granny of Alyssa Lynne and Amanda Leigh. Maureen was the daughter of Catherine and the late James Conklin and was the sister of Eileen McGinnis (Robert), Colleen Fischer (Jeffrey), the late Kathleen Sanderford (Thomas Essig), Peter Conklin (Joan), Kerry Conklin (Sharman) and Nora Kugler (Bryan). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Gwynedd-Mercy College,1325 Sumneytown Pike, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437-0901.
