Maureen T. Litwinow Maureen T. (Gallagher)  Litwinow passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She was 47.Born in Upper Darby, the daughter of Patricia Marie (Deutsch) and John Thomas Gallagher, Maureen was a long time resident of Levittown and a 1986 graduate of Pennsbury High School.Earlier in her career, Maureen worked as a LPN at the Grey Nun Academy and D'Youville Manor in Yardley. She later was a homemaker raising her children.Her greatest passion was time spent with her children and family. She always put her children before herself.Maureen loved the ocean and enjoyed the beach. She especially loved spending time at Tyler State Park.Maureen had unwavering strength and determination. She battled with many health issues over the years, but never gave up. She was "Tiny and Mighty".Maureen was a pure, kind, beautiful soul who always saw the positive and wanted to help others, especially those less fortunate.Beloved wife of Eric M., who was lovingly and selflessly devoted to her care through her illness while assuring her that he was also caring for their children. Maureen is the loving mother of Nate Gallagher (Olivia Marshall), Marissa, Luke and Kole Litwinow.She is the sister of Thomas (Linda), Denis (Christina), Maryanne and Michael (Christine) Gallagher and the sister-in-law of Kirk Litwinow (Colette Frazier).Maureen will also be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews, Colleen, Gillian, Nicholas, Christian, Angelina, Amber, Alyssa, Conor, Amanda and Carolyn; her mother and father-in-law, Eugene and Carolyn Litwinow; and the family dog, Snickers.She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Gallagher.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Maureen's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
