Mary E. Mullarkey

Mary E. Mullarkey of Fairless Hills, PA died peacefully with family and friends by her side on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was 78. Born and raised in Pittston, PA, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Gallagher, brother Michael Gallagher, and sister Pauline Ann Gallagher. Mary was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Mullarkey for 55 years. In addition to Tom, Mary is survived by her daughter Colleen Timko and her husband Ken, her grandsons Killian and Cameron, and her brother Marty and his wife Joan along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.An active member of the Woman's Ancient Order of Hibernians, Mary was heavily involved in numerous social and charity functions. She was highly regarded by many in the community and deeply loved by treasured friends and neighbors. Mary celebrated her heritage by traveling to Ireland to rediscover long lost family and making new friends while engaging in countless Irish activities here at home.Family and friends are invited to call from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 23 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Celtic Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 622, Bristol, PA 19007 or to the St Mary's Foundation, One Summit Square, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd, Langhorne, PA 19047 in remembrance of Mary.
