Mary Carol Kane,79, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 19, 2022, at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Carol was born in Philadelphia; Mom and Alan moved to Bristol, Pennsylvania. Mom loved living with her son Eric these past few years and having people over for parties.
Carol and her family moved to Lower Bucks County in the late 1960's, her extended tight-knit family followed soon after. She was very enthusiastic about her family, she loved raising her children in the Lower Bucks area, spending summer afternoons at the local pools, making lifelong friends. Carol became highly active in Easter Seals, was a charter member of both SNAP (safer neighborhoods are possible) and WOAR (women organized against rape). She loved her community and was active in local politics, even residing on the Neshaminy School Board in the early 1980's.
Carol worked at the Doylestown Court House for 20+ years, retiring early to spend time with her family, which included multiple grandchildren. She adored going down to Ocean City, New Jersey with her husband Alan.
Mom immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence with her bubbly personality. However, if you were lucky enough to know her, she loved you more than you can fathom. It is something special we all shared - to be loved by her.
Carol was the daughter of the late James V Devlin Sr. and Mary E. (nee) Thorne Devlin, she was a loving wife to her husband Alan who preceded her in death. Mom was a proud and devoted mother to James L. Haus Jr., Eric A. Haus, Jill Watkins (William); and grandmother to her greatest joys, her grandchildren, Kathryn, Eric, Luke, and Sean. She will dearly missed by her siblings James Devlin (late Diane), Patricia Fedirko (James), and the late Kathleen Meisenger (Bob) and her phenomenal nieces and nephews!
Mom loved Alan's family from the moment she met them, her stepchildren Patricia O'Rourke (Norman), Eileen Lam (Cecil), Loretta Townsend, James Kane, and the late Thomas Kane, thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Please come and celebrate Mom's life with us on Sunday July 24th, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12:00 at the James J.
