Mary Holdyk Mary Holdyk died on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 92. Born in Port Carbon, PA, Mrs. Holdyk has been a resident of Levittown since 1953. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and watching her favorite soap operas. Beloved wife of the late Frank, Mrs. Holdyk was the loving mother of Robert F. with whom she resided. She was the sister of Joseph Tarris of Pittsburgh and Metro Tarris of Pottsville. Mrs. Holdyk will also be sadly missed by her nephews, Paul Buber (Joanna) and Lenord (Rita) Tarris all of Pottsville; nieces, Leona Buber (Edward), Helen Mirabella of Port Carbon, Christine Maccrone (Michael) of Pottsville, MaryAnn Fasick (Bob) of Harrisburg, and Beverly Piscitelli (Michael) of Sinking Spring and her friend, Karen Kane of Morrisville. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 5, 2014, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
