Mary became Mrs.Gaughan when she married her Anthony on November 25, 1955. A job in the local area brought the couple to Levittown where they raised their children. The pair would spend 57 years together building a lovely life full of family.
As a Catholic, Mary and the Gaughan family were devoted to the Immaculate Conception Church in Levittown before their close in 2010. Unafraid of hard work, Mary provided for her family working for 45 years, at what is now Dial, formerly, Purex.
You could find Mary enjoying her downtime by heading to Wildwood for a long weekend, singing along to the great Babs, or tending to her garden.
Relishing in the holiday spirit, Mary loved Christmas and embraced sharing her own birthday week with the celebration. Mary was in her element as the generous hostess of the annual family Christmas Party. The whole family would gather and enjoy their time together singing around the piano and sharing a laugh. Family was the center of Mary's world. Visits with "her girls" led to so many jokes, treasured adventures, and stories. She was a light of laughter and fun who will be missed by all who had the pleasure in life to know her spirit.
Mary is predeceased by her husband, Anthony. She is remembered by her four children; Anthony "Tony" (Debra), Brian (Catherine), Donna (John) Salley, and Mary (Joseph) Pepe. She is also remembered as the loving Mom-mom to her ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and the sister of Katheryn Bindos.
