Jean was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and was never afraid to voice her opinion or be one to mince words, to put it lightly; but she was always pure in her intentions and true in her actions.
Jean, beloved wife of the late Robert F. McCormick, Sr. Much loved mother of Robert, Jr (Renee), Mark (Deena), Sharon, Matthew (Pam). Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Kyle (Kate), Chandler, Samantha, Connor (Scarlett), Madigan, Cullen, and Molly. Dear sister of Retha Koval. Remembered by her many nephews and nieces.
Jean worked for many years at American Reliance Insurance Company in Lawrenceville, NJ as an administrative assistant. She loved working there and made many friends. She looked forward to and enjoyed our yearly trip to Ocean City, MD with her children and grandkids. Her smile would light up the room when she saw and spoke of her grandchildren. She and my father instilled in us the importance of family and the need to stay connected.
She and her husband Bob were charter members of Peace Lutheran Evangelical Church in Bensalem, PA. They both were active members of the church until Bob’s death in 2018.
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056. Funeral service is scheduled on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Evangelical Church, 3900 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.
