Born in Aversa, Italy, son of the late Chiara (DiGiovanni) and Domenico D'Angelo, Mario arrived in the United States, settling in Pennsylvania, at the age of 6. He was raised in Coatesville, PA and graduated from Coatesville Area High School in 1970.
Mario was partners with his brothers at their family business for 25 years at Roma Pizza and King of the Steak at the Strawberry Festival for 10 years.
He was a proud US Army Vietnam War veteran.
Mario loved to make people laugh. He loved telling stories and entertaining as well as dancing and playing the harmonica.
A genuinely giving person, Mario lit up a room with his playful demeanor. He was a kind, gentle soul, with an unselfish heart. He doted on his family.
Mario loved watching his grandchildren play sports and never missed a game.
Life partner of 24 years to Patricia M. Keenan, Mario is the loving father of Chiara Smith (Nathan) and Nicholas D'Angelo (Odalis); and stepfather to Stephen Styer, Kimberley Morris (Richard), Lisa Hinze (Raymond) and Colleen McGuffin (Matthew).
He is the devoted grandfather of Valentina Grace, Riley, Molly, Eddie, Brett, Jameson, Olivia, Ryan, Sean, Charlotte and Claire; and the dear brother of Nick D'Angelo (Chris), Angela Pisano (Dominic), Lidia Arasin, Antonio D'Angelo (Nancy), Giuseppe "Pino" D'Angelo and Gilda Psyrris.
Mario will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers-in-law, Peter Psyrris and Walter Arasin.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
