Linda Sue Varner

Linda Sue Varner left earth for heaven on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, Tn. She and her husband left Lee College in 1966 to pioneer the Levittown Church of God. For 43 years she stood beside her husband in pastoring the church. In July 2009 they retired due to Linda's battle with lung cancer. Linda was a talented Christian lady with unique gifts she used in children's ministry. She directed the children church ministry in the Levittown church for 43 years. Linda is survived by her mother Alda Smith Bradley (Waynesville NC); her husband Robert M Varner; son Robert L. Varner (Ginger); daughter Patrice A. (Mark) McGuire; sister Jean ( Paul) Mintz; brother Bryan Smith and 6 grandchildren ; Robyn,Gennifer and Robert Varner and Tanner, Jocelyn and Cole McGuire. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the Levittown Church of God, 571 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. Her funeral service will be held on Satruday, 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire, Bishop Felix Poyser and Pastor Timothy Redmond officiating. interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
