
Lewis S. Shugar Lewis S. Shugar passed away at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Langhorne on August 7, 2010 at the age of 78. Born and raised in Plymouth, PA, Lewis was a 1948 graduate of Plymouth High School. He was a resident of Bucks County for nearly 50 years. Lewis was a former rigger with USX Steel in Fairless Hills and later worked with Marshall Industrial Technology in Trenton, NJ for several years. Mr. Shugar served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Seabees Alumni. He was extremely proud of his private pilot's license. He was an avid fisherman who traveled to his favorite places. He also enjoyed reading. He was the son of the late Frederick and Naomi Carver Shugar. He was the beloved husband of Theresa M. (McPherson) Shugar for nearly 38 years. Lewis was the loving father of Brett W. and his wife Stacy of Camp Hill, PA, Sam B. Eckhardt III and his wife Sheri of Langhorne, PA. Deborah L. Omlor and her husband Jeffrey of Fairless Hills, PA, Douglas W. Shugar of Bensalem, PA and Robert Flatt, Jr. of Senoa, GA. He will also be sadly missed by 5 grandchildren, Derek, Miles, and Brett, Jr. Shugar, Jason and Rachel Omlor, 2 great grandchildren, Owen and Gwen Shugar, his sister-in-law Shirley Kuhlman of Anderson, SC and several cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service Thursday precisely 1:30 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. His memorial service will be held Thursday 4:00 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, Jefferson and Wood Streets, Bristol, PA. Interment will be private.
