On Friday July 5th 2024, Lisa Sharon Cuthrell, who went by Lee Ryan, passed away at the age of 56. A long-time resident of Hawaii, Lee was the youngest of 10 children, born July 27, in Philadelphia, PA, to loving parents Richard and Bridget.
Lee dedicated her life to special education, and had a gift for working with youth with disabilities. She was loved by her students.
She loved listening to Alicia Keys, dancing to Motown hits, taking long walks in the country, meditating, chanting, reading everything about her hero, Jane Goodall, and watching old movies with her mother Bridget.
Lee had a fighting spirit. She was tough, independent, hilarious, and stood up for what she believed in. She made friends everywhere she went and was immediately adored. She was a devoted daughter, a fiercely loyal friend, sister, aunt, and a deeply beloved member of the family. She will be terribly missed and carried in our hearts forever and ever.
Lee was preceded in death by Bridget McClosky, Richard Cuthrell, Kathy DeZolt, Paul DeZolt, John Kuzma, and by many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Rosellen Blackard (Charles Blackard), Barbara Cuthrell, Robert Cuthrell, Jean Cuthrell (Dino Cordova), Elizabeth Cuthrell (Steven Tuttleman), John Cuthrell (Lynn Cuthrell), James Cuthrell, Ellen Cuthrell, and her nieces and nephews; Amee, Bryan, Caroline, Sarah, Evan, Danny, Willa, Christopher, Luke, and Josey.
