He was a long-time resident of Bristol, PA, Kevin was born in Bristol, PA to Timothy and Dolores Coyne. After graduating from Bishop Egan High School in 1989, Kevin began his military career as a Navy Seabee. Kevin retired from a 20- year service in 2009. While in the Navy, he was stationed in California, Mississippi, Connecticut and Virginia. Kevin spent time overseas in places like London and the Middle East. He was part of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm for which he received 4 medals.
Kevin enjoyed life. He was a good brother and son who loved his family in his own way. He was proud of all of them. Growing up, Kevin liked to learn things and was always willing to share his knowledge. Kevin had a desire to help others whether with physical labor or with advice and support. His belief in God, family, freedom and our Country was his reason for joining the Navy.
Kevin also enjoyed hanging out with friends and having fun. He was quick with a funny story or remark. He liked to see others laugh. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia teams. His favorite pastime was playing pool. He was a member of the American Pool Association. Kevin was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, achieving Third Degree status.
Even in death, his life will impact others as he was an organ donor.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Timothy J. Coyne.
He is survived by his mother, Dolores Coyne; his siblings Tim (Ellen) Coyne, Theresa (Ted) Dennison, Dolores (Kevin) Jordan, Michael Coyne and Brian (Diane) Coyne and 3 nephews, 5 nieces, 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm.
Burial will take place following mass at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
