It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and U.S. Army Reserve veteran, Kenneth Bruce Morgan, who passed away at the age of 83. He passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ken was born in Cincinnati Ohio, to George and Kathryn Morgan and was predeceased by his parents and his son, Scott Alan Morgan. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tracy Verhage, and son-in-law, John; his sister, Kathy Smith; his brother, John Morgan; many nieces and nephews, and his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sirois (and her husband, Brian), John Verhage III (and his wife, Fran), and Brittany Elder (and her husband, Bill). He was also the proud great-grandfather of five beautiful great-grandchildren.
Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves, a commitment that shaped much of who he was—a man of integrity, dedication, and quiet strength. His service was a reflection of his deep sense of duty, which extended to everything he did, especially to his family.
Ken had a lifelong passion for sports. A devoted fan, he loved golf, baseball and football, often sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with those around him. Not only was he an avid baseball fan he also coached his son's little league baseball teams where he earned the nickname " Mad Dog Morgan". Whether he was watching a game or talking about his favorite teams, his love for sports was infectious. He also had a special love for skiing, enjoying the slopes, and sharing his passion for the sport with his family and the beloved Argenti family (Gene, Carol, Christopher and Matthew).
Though Ken may have been a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. He was a steady presence in the lives of his loved ones, offering support, wisdom, and laughter when it was needed most. His quiet strength, combined with his sense of humor and generosity, made him a cherished figure in our family.
Ken's memory will live on through the countless moments of joy, laughter, and love he shared with us all. His legacy will continue in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were all blessed to know him.
A celebration of life gathering for Ken will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, with Army Military Honors taking place at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Kenneth's honor.
