Kathryn was born on July 25, 1935 in North Moreland Township in Wyoming County, PA, to parents, Henry and Elgie Ferris. She graduated from Tunkhannock Area High School in 1953. Kathryn went on to establish a career as a Teacher’s Assistant working for Bucks County Intermediate Unit. After retirement, Kathryn became a crossing guard for Pennsbury School District seeing the children off to school safely every day. Kathryn’s favorite hobbies were spending time with family and cooking for family. Kathryn was also a member of The Pinewood Pool.
Kathryn was preceded in death by son, Dexter Sills; parents, Henry and Elgie Ferris; and sister, Dorothy Husband.
Kathryn is survived by husband, Dexter Sills of Levittown, PA; son, Randy Sills, Sr (Fang Sills) of Levittown, PA; daughter, Janet Sills of Levittown, PA; grandson, Randy Sills, Jr of Bensalem, PA; granddaughter, Michelle Walker (Adam Walker) of Haymarket, Va; granddaughter, Katelynn Raspanti (Brett Raspanti) of Fairless Hills, PA; grandson, Kevyn Sills (Melissa Sills) of Bristol, Pa; and 6 great grandchildren Bentley, Kaylee, Emmalyn, Rylee, Maeve and Adaline.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056.
A Graveside Service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Sunnyside Cemetery, 512 Sunnyside Rd, Tunkhannock, PA 19657.
