Katherine Grace Gross

Katherine Grace Gross (also known as Katie Carmello) of Fairless Hills passed away on March 18, 2022. She was 36 years of age. Katie graduated from Pennsbury High School and earned a degree from Gainesville State College in Georgia.

Katie is survived by her loving mother and brother, Mary and Timothy Carmello. Born with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, a rare birth defect, Katherine endured many physical and emotional hardships. Knowing the cards were stacked against her, Katie laughed loudly, loved deeply, forgave easily, spoke freely, and helped those in need of a friend.

In addition to her mother and brother she will be greatly missed by her Grandfather Joseph D Carmello, Aunt Regina Maley (Brian), Uncle Joseph Carmello (June), cousins Joey (Cassie), Andy, Jim, Liz, Christine, Nick, Julia, Christopher(Jacqueline) and Erin, many friends and her beloved cat, Grady.

Katie was predeceased by her Grandmothers Carol Ann Carmello and Mary Jane Zile.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 8th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 from 8:30-9:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am, the Reverend Monsignor Michael McCormac will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
