Karen Elizabeth Rubinstein of Levittown died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Lower Bucks Hospital. She was 63.Born in Waverly, NY, Karen was a life long resident of Levittown.Karen worked for Bristol Myers Squibb in the Patent Office for many years. She was also a buyer for Gimbel's Department Store and owned her own craft business.Karen enjoyed going to the shore and watching reality television shows. She loved her pets.Karen was the mother of the late Kelly; daughter of the late William and Elsie Surma and sister of the late William Surma.She was the loving mother of Jason A. Rubinstein and William T. Peterson both of Levittown and the devoted grandmother of Corey West of Fairless Hills, Emily Clark, who she was raising, Benjamin Rubinstein and Aidan Meister all of Levittown.Karen will also be missed by her sister, Elizabeth Baird; nephew, Michael Surma; nieces, Nicole Pinelli and Kimberly Stowe and her dog, Duke.Family and friends are invited to call from 12 until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
